Hypothesis & Variables

The Department of Counseling Psychology’s research forum organized an informative workshop on Hypothesis and variables for academic research. The workshop was conducted on 23th July at 2:30 PM in the Viktor Frankl Hall, located in the Bosco School of Social Work, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur.  3rd UG Psychology and I & II PG students of Counseling psychology participated in the workshop. The resource person for the workshop was Ms. M. Kothai vani, Assistant Professor of the Department of Counselling Psychology, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur.  Asst. Prof. Kothai vani is a deeply committed teacher, Counsellor, and researcher.  At the workshop, we were privileged to receive an enlightening overview from Professor Kothai vani on the proper way to conduct a hypothesis and variables  in academic research. The workshop was constructive in form and the students were provided with a PowerPoint presentation which consisted of all the elements that were discussed in the workshop. The workshop was highly beneficial to the students and it facilitated more information on the research sector. The workshop was delivered in a very simple and easy-to-capture manner.  Additional information regarding the process and articulation of the resources for the research was discussed. The major aspects of hypothesis and variables such as the meaning with examples, types, characteristics, sources were all illuminated and provided in a PowerPoint format for all the participants.  It is understood that the process of hypothesis and variables for academic purposes is easy to formulate when doing the research are followed wisely. Developing an interest and drive to know more about one’s particular research by reading, researching, and acquiring more information about the research topic can help one master the process of hypothesis and variables. Overall the workshop helped the students gain additional information and knowledge on how to hypothesis and variables for study and research.
